EYHC Youth Justice Simulation
November 21 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
November 21st at Bangor University’s Reichel Hall, 10:00am-3pm
This experiential learning session will put every participant ‘in the shoes’ of a young person engaging with our systems that aims to address the needs of children and young people. Using integrative teaching and simulations developed in collaboration with young people with lived experience, we will explore what it is like to be a young person moving through various services and systems, including education, foster care, youth justice, homelessness, and more.
As a result of EYHC’s international partnerships and networks, we were privileged to be the first European country to host the simulation, back in May 2022, with approximately 50 participants experiencing the transformative power of the simulation. We then honoured later on in 2022 to be the first country in the world to have taken part in accredited ‘Youth Experiential Learning Simulation’ training, so that we are able to independently and sustainability perform the simulation training, running the simulation again in 2022 for over 100 participants. Being trained as YExLS Leaders, enables us to ensure that a far larger number of professionals are able to experience the simulation than previously would have been possible.
We are therefore very excited to invite you to the second Youth Justice Simulation of 2024, on November 21st, at Bangor University’s Reichel Hall. Please arrive from 10:00am for a 10:30am start. The training will run until 3pm, with a break included, and lunch is provided.
Due to venue restrictions, this is a limited number event, so please only register if you’re planning on attending. Please register your attendance below:
