Welsh Women’s Aid (WWA) are inviting you to attend a FREE upcoming event. Please join us for an important event dedicated to prioritising the best interests of children and young people when accessing support services. This event will explore how agencies can collaborate to ensure optimal outcomes for children and their families.
Our lineup includes five expert speakers who will share their insights on key areas:
- Charlotte Bowden from Child Friendly Cardiff will discuss the importance of upholding children’s rights and ensuring their voices are heard in all decisions.
- Ian Laite, a consultant social worker from Cardiff Children’s Services, will focus on understanding the impact of domestic abuse on children and the importance of survivor-centred approaches.
- Bethan Altman from CAFCASS Cymru will talk about new strategies and pathways developed to better listen to and support children, in response to the Harm Panel’s report.
- Representatives from Thrive Women’s Aid and RASASC will also present, offering perspectives on supporting children who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence.
