Discovery is a student led organisation that works to tackle social isolation and poverty of opportunity, whilst building confidence and empowering those who face discrimination in their lives. Our projects are about tackling this discrimination and breaking down barriers and we envisage a community where people are treated as equals and are not disadvantaged by society.
We currently have over 250 volunteers busy getting involved in over 35 projects, working to assist a range of people with diverse needs. These include those with mental health issues, older people, children and young people, and people who have a disability. The projects are all run by young people, many of whom are studying at Swansea University. We are a registered charity and have been established for over 40 years.
